1. 7. Developing Your Facilitation Skills Refrain from telling team members what to do and how to do it. Encourage team members to communicate with one another. Encourage team members to communicate with you. Help the team focus on its objectives. Encourage the team to solve its own problems. Remain neutral and don ’ t try to influence the group ’ s efforts. 8. Motivating People Treat other people with respect. Provide clear direction and purpose when leading a team Be honest with team members. 9. Mentoring Observe people to identify those with potential. Be a good listener. 10. Team Building Choose team members who meet job requirements and work well with others. Involve team members in planning and problem-solving. Encourage people to work together.
