Original ATE brake discs– Utmost safety in any driving situation

Original ATE brake discs – Premium quality ATE uses various materials in keeping with the specifications of the vehicle manufacturers; cast iron qualities like GG20 and GG15 HC and GG 20 HG alloyed. ATE adapts the brake disc to the particular vehicle applications. Depending on the model, the fastening screws are included at no extra charge in the scope of delivery of most brake discs which the vehicle manufacturer has intended to be fixed to the wheel hub.

Original ATE brake discs – Premium quality ATE genuine quality ensures the best operation due to The use of a wide range of alloy components e. g. manganese, chrome and silicon Improved thermal stability Increased corrosion resistance Extended service life Prevention of brake judder Minimized noise development

Original ATE brake discs – little lateral run-out: Extremely close manufacturing tolerances ensure safe clearance between disc and pad; no contact when brakes are not applied ATE process tolerances are very tight: the variance in the movement of the friction ring surfaces relative to the contact faces must not exceed 30 µm Best comfort from the start

High tolerance – consequences? Later run-out exceeding the tolerances causes the disc and pad to contact even when the brakes are not applied Result: brake disc erosion (thickness tolerance) and judder

High tolerance – consequences? Lateral run-out Later run-out exceeding the tolerances causes the disc and pad to contact even when the brakes are not applied Result: brake disc erosion (thickness tolerance) and judder

Dimensions – how much is 1 µm? paper clip needle 1 µm pig's bristle Ø 0,1 mm permissible lateral run-out of an ATE brake disc max. 30 µm on the front axle Ø 0,8 mm Ø 0,6 mm hair Ø 0,05 mm

Original ATE brake discs – thickness tolerance The thickness tolerance of the brake disc friction rings of maximum 10 µm (0.01 mm) as prerequisite for optimum parallelism ensures trouble-free operation of the brake Larger thickness tolerances cause torque fluctuations which lead to instability and vibration This in turn produces unpleasant resonance in the chassis, e.g., torsional vibration of the steering wheel We guarantee: Smallest thickness tolerance < 10 µm Constant braking torque Vibration-free braking

Original ATE brake discs – centering The close tolerance of the center bore reduces possible vertical out-of-true and imbalance of the brake disc for optimally true running No imbalance, optimum comfort Conduces also to a longer service life of wheel bearings and axle parts ATE manufactures to the specifications of the vehicle makers Ensures optimum true running

Original ATE brake discs – balancing ATE balances all ventilated brake discs. No imbalance -> Greater comfort No imbalance -> Optimal, vibration-free concentric running No imbalance -> Longer service life of wheel bearings and steering components

Original ATE brake discs – manufacturer identification Manufacturer identification on every Original ATE brake disc, e.g., ATE MIN TH 20,

Qualities and advantages of Original ATE brake discs Thermal conductivity – high-carbon (HC) brake discs prevent judder and reduce wear Heat compensating groove regulates temperature flux in friction ring surfaces Problem-free run-in of brakes owing to reduced surface roughness Optimum braking performance – only state-of-the-art OE materials are good enough for us Alloyed brake discs – less wear and less susceptibility to noise Smallest tolerances for "run-out" and "DTV" – no erosion, no judder No steering wheel wobble – simply drive off with balanced brake discs Close tolerance of center bore – reduces imbalance and vertical out-of-true Partly including fastening screws – contained in scope of delivery at no extra charge ATE brand quality – Profit from longstanding experience

New: Genuine ATE coated brake discs The best features of our coated brake discs New appearance with attractive design Especially on alloy wheels Largest range of coated brake discs available today (with around 400 item numbers*) Continuously growing range of item numbers In new part production, the coating of ATE brake discs is increasingly becoming standard Time savings No additional treatment (e.g. cleaning) is required before installation. Just unpack and install Highest quality featuring paint system with aluminum base Extremely low tolerances for thickness variation of max. 10 µm Coating made of environmentally friendly material Coated areas remain protected against corrosion even after installation * September 2009

Overview of genuine ATE coated brake discs - always one step ahead... Extremely low tolerances at OEM levels e.g. for thickness variation and lateral runout Balancing of ventilated brake discs Mounting bolts included with brake discs depending on model Bearing and integrated sensor ring included with brake discs depending on model No complicated changes to your internal systems due to identical item numbers of uncoated and coated brake discs And, of course: Complete solutions above and beyond brake discs ATE once again remains true to its tradition with its coated brake discs: Offer more than expected and always stay one step ahead! This maxim applies equally to material quality, braking performance, service life and customer service:
