Ocean: the large body of salt water that covers nearly 3/4 of the earth. It is divided into 4 parts. The Atlantic , Pacific, Indian and Arctic. Ocean:

Directions between the cardinal directions. They are: northeast, northwest, southeast and southwest. lines on a map that run east to west. another name for a line of latitude.

longitude: meridian: equator: prime meridian: lines on a map that run north to south another name for a line of longitude The equator is the line of latitude located at 0 degrees latitude. It divides the earth into the northern and southern hemispheres. It runs east to west. The line of longitude that divides the earth into the eastern and western hemispheres. It is located at 0 degrees longitude. It runs north to south.
