Regeneration the sustainable development of cities…… which is holistic in approach, targeted at economic and cultural (re)development, social cohesion and physical rehabilitation’. (Eurocities 1996)

Regeneration regeneration is not merely ‘done’ to certain urban areas, but is part of a process of transformation and change which takes place in all locations and involves communities either as a continuous evolutionary process or at specific points in time because of particular circumstances. Green 2006
