Gruesome Ashley Lefon

Artistic Statement Its for the love of rubbernecking in all us. Its having to look at the train wreck even though it makes you sick. It’s because butterflies and flowers aren’t the only thing beautiful. Its realizing the bad makes the good better. It’s to make you feel gross in a good way. So many people spend their time focusing on the soft side of nature, that’s only half the picture. There is so much to be seen that most avoid looking at. Its gruesome.

Biography Every inch of my life is coated in images. Pictures here and there. My eyes are constantly being fed. In my room, everything is drenched in photography. All of my walls, desks, floors, everything is covered in cutouts from magazines. It’s no surprise that I have a camera glued to my fingertips, trying to make my own memories. I am looking to capture the way it looks now during my life, that way I can see later see exactly what was going on. For the last three years I have a had camera, looking back I can see the changes in us. Time is moving fast, and I want to remember all of this.
