Thanks for your Visit..

The April Visit for Cappadocia What did we do up to now? On the last days of April, Turkey was the host of Co-Working project in Cappadocia… We visited the Institution of Mentally Handicapped people..

The Institutions We Have.. We started working together with the Rehabilitation center in Urgup…

What we do for the handicapped people… There was no CO-WORKING phenomena Urgup before we started this project..

Who are the co-workers? We have an experienced and hardworking staff; trying to share almost all their knowledge professionally with the mentally or physically handicapped students. Mr. TÜRKKOL as our Principal Ass.Principals as; Mr. ALKAN, Mr. DEN İ ZL İ

What did we do for them? We dealt with the non-formal education with an innovative point of view and by including the voluntary establishments started this activity, Firstly we made them apply for easy specific occupations.. They have had a job in Urgup since the beginning of this organisation..

The process… The process of this work requires much time.. It starts By giving them the necessary and very basic education by our lecturers.

The patient process.. About 2 months; getting the personal and character information.. About 6 months; applying very basic behaviours.. About 4-6 months; a very specific subject or occupation according to his/her abilities..

What happens later? The process still goes on.. Only two of our co-workers started a part time job as a ceramist.. Our target is to increase the awareness..

Dissemination; Dissemination; Our target is to increase the awareness; We not only improve our students economically, but also improve them socially, in short we make them believe themselves confident and make them feel valuable.. We encouraged the Urgup Municapility and local government to involve into the project..

Next Dissemination Plans; In a short time almost all people in Cappadocia will be aware of this project, the project still needs some time.. We will have a public meeting towards the end of the project and will tell about the details of it.. The most and the last important thing is the sustainability of the project..
