Importance of Instructional Materials IM’s assist to reinforce and supplement the teacher’s communication during the presentation of the lesson. IM’s are determined by: Instructor/teacher the ability of the teacher to either create, use, or select from the readily made and suitably available aids is crucial and critical. They include sound motion pictures, slides on sound and television Stimulation Devices these are actual representation of the real objects or process, but reduced in size. Tips for PPT Slides Use Sans Serif fonts (fonts without feet) e.g. Arial, Tahoma, Trebuchet, Verdana, etc. Titles should be 32-44 pt. font size, BOLD Text should be as large as possible First level 24-32 pt font size Second level 20-28 pt font size Etc. Use color wisely Contrasting colors

Be CONSISTENT throughout presentation! “Fly-In” vs “Wipe” Could you read this? How about this one? Maybe the third time is the charm! Less distracting Reduces eye movement Increases readability Be CONSISTENT throughout presentation!
