Number Talks Number Talks: this part of the every day calendar allows students to build mental math skills. Students are encouraged to use different strategies to build their fluency with addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. This is a great way to build mathematical skills that can be applied to other areas.
Fluency Fluency What is fluency? We use flashcards, technology, partnering, skip counting. What is the difference between a strategy and fluency? Some examples of strategies arrays, pictures, and manipulatives.
