COMPREHENSIVE AGRICULTURE SUPPORT PROGRAMME (CASP)

Purpose  To provide effective agricultural support and to streamline the provision of services to targeted beneficiaries of land reform’s restitution and redistribution; as well as to other black producers who have acquired land through private means and are engaged in value-adding enterprises domestically, or involved in export.

Emthanjeni hydroponic Project – De Aar, Northern Cape  On 14 September 2012 Caryki Consulting CC was appointed as a MASTER mentor for the Emthanjeni Hydroponics Project.  On 5 October 2012 a letter of intent was received from Freshmark by the project.  Project value – R10 million; 10 permanent jobs created.

Ilima/Letsema - Purpose  To fight poverty by increasing food production in South Africa through farming. The programme also focuses on unlocking agricultural production by investing in other strategic programmes that includes the rehabilitation of the irrigation schemes, and other value adding projects.
