Republic of Sudan Location: North-Eastern Africa, bordering the Red Sea, between Egypt and Eritrea Population: 40 million Language: Arabic/English Neighboring countries: Egypt, Libya, Chad, Central Africa Republic, South Sudan, Ethiopia and Eritrea. Climate: Hot and dry; arid desert; rainy season varies by region (April to November) Temperature: November max. 33°C – min. 17°C Currency: Sudanese Pound  1 SDG= $0.167 $1=6.4SDG 1 SDG= 0. 151 EUR =8.2SDG

Visa: * For countries having Sudanese Diplomatic Missions: Apply for Visa (Passport must be valid for at least six (6) months). Yellow fever and cholera vaccinations are required. SATCA will send a letter from the organizing committee stating the purpose of your visit, duration of stay, and references in Sudan.
