At JW North HS in Riverside, CA, there are 16 sections of the AVID elective; 650 students are enrolled in the AVID elective. That is well over 20% of the student population enrolled in AVID. At Sequoia HS in Redwood City, CA, there are two sections of the AVID elective per grade level, with the average class enrollment at 27. This is up from one section per grade level in 2009*.
