If you record God’s name in your mind, He will record your name in His book. Malachi 3 16 Then they that feared the L ORD spake often one to another: and the L ORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for them that feared the L ORD, and that thought upon His name. Names are important to God.

17 “And they shall be Mine,” saith the L ORD of hosts, “in that day when I make up My jewels …” Names are important to God. Names in God’s book are like jewels in a treasure chest. Malachi 3

Daniel 12 1 … at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. Names are important to God. Names in God’s book shine like stars.

Philippians 2 9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: 10 that at the name of Jesus … Names are important to God. Sometimes names are God-given. This is for emphasis and instruction.

Acts 4 12 Neither is there salvation in any oth- er: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Names are important to God. Matthew 1 21 … thou shalt call His name Jesus: for He shall save His people from their sins.
