Welcome to Writing Tutoring Online Writing tutoring online is available for any course with writing assignments to all Central Arizona College students Online tutoring is conducted in two ways: 1.Asynchronous tutoring 2.Synchronous tutoring

Characteristics of Asynchronous Tutoring No appointment is necessary Submit your paper via Writing Tutoring Online in Blackboard Allow time for feedback Retrieve the feedback from the Grade Book

Open Online Writing Tutoring Resources (in Blackboard) Submit your paper, assignment guidelines, and questions Allow time for a reflective review Retrieve your already reviewed paper and make revisions If you need follow-up, you can resubmit the next version

Characteristics of Synchronous Tutoring Students need to make an appointment Students will “meet” with a live tutor The discussion is via a “Chat Room” in Blackboard

Call SPC or SMC Learning Center at (520) or (480) Ask to set an online appointment with a writing tutor At the time of your appointment… Get ready to submit your paper. Access “Online Writing Tutoring and Resources” (in Blackboard) Click “Interactive Writing Tutor” Select the chat room
