Judaism (Jewish) Christianity Islam (Muslim)

America was started by people who believed the Judeo- Christian teachings. Pilgrim William BradfordPilgrim William Bradford said: “The light here kindled [Plymouth, future USA] hath shone unto many, yea in some sort to our whole nation; let the glorious name of Jehovah have all praise."

Today’s Purpose Explain Judaism: Creation to Moses

Persia Babylon Rome

Judaism: From Creation to King Solomon 11,000 B.C. Creation, Adam Falls: Noah: Abraham: 5000 B.C. Slaves in Egypt and Moses: Ten Commandments, Promised Land! King Saul: King David: King Solomon: Jacob & sons in Egypt: 1500 B.C B.C B.C. ____ B.C B.C. ____ B.C.

God created the heavens and the Earth in 6 days. Man is made in God’s image. How is the globe different from today?

Adam and Eve Fall God tells Adam and Eve only one law: do not eat the fruit of one tree or they will die. Adam and Eve disobey and are punished by a curse on the Earth and their own eventual death. Where did they get their animal skin clothes?

Sin gets worse in Adam’s son Cain. He kills his brother Abel. Why? God accepts Abel’s sacrifice, but not Cain’s. Lamb

Adam has children and grandchildren. Their hearts are only evil continually. Lying, hatred and violence spread. Tower of Babel God is saddened by all the sin and will bring a flood to cover the whole Earth.

But God warns Noah to make an ark and sends two of every land animal to him to save. The ark described in the Old Testament was about 500 ft. long! Why wouldn’t Noah take water animals too?

For a while all is well, then men forget to worship the Creator. God speaks to Abraham to leave Ur and go to a new land.

He promises that Abraham will be the father of many nations. But Abraham is 100 years old. Continue Clip

Abraham’s grandson Jacob and his sons go into… Egypt for 400 years of slavery. Then God sends Moses to take the Hebrews out to the Promised Land. Pharoah lets the people go after 10 plagues.

God parts the Red Sea, Pharaoh's army is drowned. Moses and the Hebrews escape.

Moses climbs Mount Sinai and God gives him the Ten Commandments and leads the Hebrews to the Promised Land. Now a nation of 2 million Hebrews, descended from Abraham, worship the Creator God.
