2 Communications Plan – Objective To provide structure and discipline to the process of communicating Six Sigma DMAIC project progress by identifying the: Individuals to which communication must be directed Method/mechanism for communication Frequency of communication Feedback mechanisms Person responsible for initiating the communication To provide structure and discipline to the process of communicating Six Sigma DMAIC project progress by identifying the: Individuals to which communication must be directed Method/mechanism for communication Frequency of communication Feedback mechanisms Person responsible for initiating the communication The Black Belt Is Responsible For Developing And Maintaining the Communications Plan

3 Communications Plan – Example Black Belts document those individuals associated with the Six Sigma project that should be included in project communication To ensure communication is targeted and routine, a purpose, method, frequency, date and responsibility for each communication element must be documented Additional pertinent information can be stored in the “Comments” field (i.e. file names)
