Job Description Competition is expected for artists and their art attracts many people with creative ability. Some artists make art work for communication in ideas, thoughts and feelings. There’s four types of artists, Art directors, Craft artists, Fine artists, and Multimedia artists. All of these artists create a specific thing to do with their job like they all create things.

Education and Training Need to go to college after high school for art and design Need to develop a bachelors degree Subjects that need to be taken is English, social science, natural science, and art history and studio art. Educational programs provides training in computer techniques as well. Train in computer graphics and visual displays. Art directors would usually start as entry-level designers or artists. To teach art at public elementary or secondary schools you usually need to have a teaching certificate along a bachelors degree.

Salary Art directors - $76,980 in May 2008, 50%- between $54,490 and $108,090, lowest 10%- less than $40,730 and highest 10%- more than $154,840 Craft artists- were $29,080, 50% made was between $20,730 and $39,120, lowest 10%- less than $16,290 and highest 10%- more than $54,550 Fine artists such as painters, sculptors, and illustrators- were $42,650, 50%- earned was between $29,230and $60,650, lowest 10%- less than $20,780, highest 10%- more than $83,410
