General Guidelines For Written Assignment Written Assignment Organise And Consolidate 7 Write The Assignment 8 Submit Before Deadline 10 Check And Review 9 Select a Topic 1 Evaluate And Select 4 Search For Information 3 Plan An Outline 6 Take Notes From Resources 5 Analyze The Topic 2

Select a Topic 1 Choose one that you are comfortable with, interesting Analyze The Topic 2 What are the main issues? What does the question requires you to do: to explain, evaluate, analyse etc.. Understand what each term means Search For Information 3 Where can you obtain sources of information? Library, journal, INTERNET etc.. Evaluate And Select 4 Do you have information relevant to the main issues and supporting issues?

Take Notes From Resources 5 Make sure notes / information cover all aspects related To the main issues and supporting issues. Plan An Outline 6 Outline to consist of Introduction, Body and Conclusion. Supporting items such as appendices, reference list etc.. Organise And Consolidate 7 Write notes for each of the part e.g. Introduction Body Conclusion Write The Assignment 8 Ensure the following: Language clarity Flow of ideas and cohesion Spelling and grammar

Check And Review 9 Ask yourself the following questions: Have I dealt with the main issues and supporting issues thoroughly ? Is the content relevant and through? Is there sufficient supporting evidence to uphold my views opinions and ideas? Does the piece of work make sense overall? Is the language clear and precise, or vague and ambiguous? Do the paragraph connect well? Are the quotations appropriately cited? Are the illustrations properly labelled? Are there spelling and grammar errors? Are all the references cited correctly recorded? Submit Before Deadline 10 Ensure you meet the deadline, late submission may not be Accepted at all! Avoid procrastination in order to produce a good piece of work.
