WHY DO ROCKSTAR MAKE THE GAME? The Rockstar mission statement is “to create the most innovative and progressive interactive entertainment.” This means Rockstar wants to make unique games were as other companies haven't and they have done this by creating the sandbox experience. As well as that they have online features were the individual is able to connect with people around the world. Its different to offline as online lets you be in your own virtual world were you can do missions without following a storyline and to personalize your own character so you can adapt as if you were the character.

ESCAPISM AND ENTERTAINMENT Escapism is when a gamer feels as if they are in another world were they are free to express there emotions through a character for example shooting another character may express the players anger therefore it is known as a resort to stress relief. Social interaction There is an option to create your own character so you can make your virtual self and live in a virtual house with your very own virtual cars. It gives the individual a chance to mix with other people online and talk to them as well as doing missions with thier peers.

PERSONAL IDENTITY Personal identity is about the game letting the individual expressing themselves in a character form were they can dress the character to there liking and use the character the way they like. They can make the character drive and have its own car and house and live an everyday lifestyle in a virtual world.

FRANKLIN Franklin is portrayed as a stereotypical African- American in this game to be involved within gang culture. So the audience will see him as a violent individual who causes trouble. In this shot he is holding a shotgun and it seems that Franklin. This image is a long- shot and it reveals that it is in a urban area which compliments the stereotype.

FRANKLIN In this shot it shows a negative representation on women and it makes their image look terrible. Here you can see chauvinism as the men are more superior over women. This shows that the game will contain sex or some kind of nudity. This means the game is not rated for children. This is a medium close up.

FRANKLIN In this shot you can see another stereotype were it shows a African-American Black male getting arrested and here it shows that in the game there will be a lot of gang culture, violence and this shows a negative representation. This is a long shot.

FRANKLIN In this long shot from the trailer it shows violence against the police. This portrays gang violence and breaking the law. This encourages the gamer to take on this role and it is a negative representation of Franklins lifestyle.

FRANKLIN Franklin in this shot represents a poor urban area were there is hustling. This is a typical stereotype of African American doing something illegal as they argue with money in hand and one man is dressed decently and the other man is dressed like he is from the typical African American background.

MICHAEL In this medium shot it shows Michael trying to give authority and show his power over everyone. This portrays him as wealthy humble and have achieved a lot of respect. In this scene he shows a strong image and this may foreshadow he will remain at that high status.

MICHAEL In this picture it is a low angle long shot. The picture shows wealth. But were did the wealth come from. If people saw this image they would automatically assume that this is a typical rich and greedy man.

MICHAEL This is a medium shot it shows a white man playing golf. It is known for either rich men or old men to play golf. It is safe to say he looks likes a rich man who is playing on his own. He might be taking a break from business. Who knows if its legal or not ?

MICHAEL In this is a medium long shot and we take a close look at the image it looks like the man is getting kicked and beaten with a folder or maybe a menu and as that happens it seems the women is packing her things to leave this represents the stereotype of men being aggressive.

MICHAEL In this long shot it shows a typical
