AmCham Shanghai Corporate Social Responsibility Awards Haworth’s adopted charity – Shanghai Sunrise

2 Shanghai Sunrise is a non-profit, all volunteer program. There are as many as 40,000 children* in Shanghai's nineteen districts that are unable to afford tuition and other fees for a comprehensive, competitive public education. Shanghai Sunrise has sponsored over 1,000 children, currently supports 590 children and books have been donated to over 100 libraries in needy schools. About Shanghai Sunrise

4 Haworth believes that people are the most important asset to any entity. In order to foster creativity and innovation, the key building block is education of the new creative class that is emerging in China. Sponsoring Shanghai Sunrise is our small gesture to help build a brighter future for the society and the children of Shanghai, our pillars for creativity and innovation for the future.

5 Haworth sponsored 30 children for Shanghai Sunrise starting in Contributed to the establishment of a library for elementary or middle schools to support Shanghai Sunrise’s children. We are also providing a scholarship for a high potential student who would otherwise not be able to go to college. Haworth host the monthly board meetings for the dedicated management team of Shanghai Sunrise at The Haworth Shanghai Creativity Centre. Our event space has also been used for other charities at no cost with the objective of assisting them in connecting with potential contributors to their programs. Evaluation & Impact
