History, Mandate, Vision & Approach ACTED’s mandate ACTED’s Mandate We go the last mile : ACTED’s mission is to save lives and support people in meeting their needs in hard to reach areas. ACTED develops and implements programs that target the most vulnerable amongst populations that have suffered from conflict, natural disaster, or socio-economic hardship. ACTED’s approach looks beyond the immediate emergency towards opportunities for longer term livelihoods reconstruction and sustainable development. 4

History, Mandate, Vision & Approach ACTED in Cambodia Cambodia ACTED took over operations of PSF in 2009; PSF working in Cambodia since 1991 – originally providing technical support to the National Laboratory for Drug Quality Control; Between 2006 and 2011, ACTED-PSF programmes focused only on HIV/STI prevention and care; Since 2011 starting transition into areas of ACTED’s global expertise; 6
