Important Pharaohs and Rulers What did they do?

Pharaoh Tutmoses I. Made the valley of the Kings BCE Pharaoh Tutmoses III. Most successful military Pharoah. He made Egypt much bigger through 17 invasions BCE Pharaoh Amenhotep IV (Akenaten). He banned worsip of the Old Gods and only let people worship Aten (the sun) BCE Queen Hatsheptut. A female ruler who wore a beard in order to appear strong. She ruled on behalf of her baby son BCE Queen Neferetiti The main wife of Akenaten. She was very intelligent and wise. She helped to make importatant decisions. Some people think she ruled for a short time after Akenaten’s death but no-one is sure BCE Pharaoh Tutankhamun The boy king, who was made King at the age of 9. He allowed people to worship the old Gods again, and make the capital of Egypt Thebes once more BCE Pharaoh Ramesses II Known as Ramesses the Great. He defeated the Hittites at the battle of Kadesh. He ruled for 67 years and made Egypt safe for many years BCE Pharaoh Ramesses III Ramesses III defeated the Sea People and the Libyans. He is known as the last Great Pharoah BCE Pharaoh Narmer.
