Mr. Williamson By: Matthew and Jason

Mr. Williamson was a Marine in the Vietnam War. He started serving for the Marines in Mr. Williams was a part of Company L, 3 rd Battalion, 7 th Marines, and 1 st Marine Division. He was given the nickname “the Georgia Peach” by his fellow marines. He served all over the world. The places ranged from Dominican Republic, Africa, South America, and other countries. He received many awards for his service for our country. October 17, 1966 he accomplished a great act, from which he received a Silver Star. After he rescued his commander, he was named Corporal for his group. He served a total of 22 years in the United States Military. He retired in 1986.
