 Venus was the roman goddess of love and beauty. In Greek her name was Aphrodite.

 V enus has a thick cloud cover, so it makes it impossible to see the surface also traps most of the suns heat.  T his extra heat gives Venus the hottest temperature of all the planets. Its like earth because it has lots of volcanoes and mountain.  T he only difference is the temperature in Venus, nobody could live on it!

 Venus is the Earths Sister.  Venus is called the Evening Star.  Its called that because it looks so bright to us from Earth.

 Venus takes about 225 days to travel around the sun.  The distance from Venus to the sun is in km and 67.2 in miles.
