I would describe the overall colour of this painting as being almost monochrome except for the tin and produce containers which have more intensity of colour, especially the orange tin. An ochre, nuetralised pale colour.has been used in the background to make it recede. The tin,and produce containers have been painted using secondary colours, orange,green and purple.
