Attrition & Retention Consortium (ARC) Overview April 2014
What is ARC? A consortium of over 20 highly respected companies who exchange high quality data on voluntary attrition on an annual basis and share best practices to optimize the retention and engagement of employees within their companies.
What Does ARC Provide? Confidential benchmarking of global employee turnover data compiled by a third party vendor Small group of premier companies for networking but large database for benchmarking – ~1,000,000 employees The opportunity to look first-hand at turnover trends to better manage attrition Sharing of best practices via quarterly ARC webinars and annual conference On-going networking throughout the year with colleagues and experts
Companies submit data for each employee in the population – no calculations required Row level data describes the state of each employee: –Population Stat (employed, voluntary quit, other quit, retirement, layoff) –Service Years –Gender –Ethnicity –Job Group –Performance Level –Job Category (Executive, Manager/Supervisor, Individual Contributor) –US State –Country Members receive comparison reports/graphs Members receive a reporting database for deeper dives or for export to other analytical tools (e.g. SPSS/SAS) Members can request a sub-set of companies for “more like us” analysis ARC Data Submission

ARC Membership Requirements At least 5,000 permanent, full-time employees in North America Ability to submit turnover data annually Company represented at ARC annual meeting Actively participate in an ARC committee (Marketing & Membership Committee, Data Committee, Program Committee) Pay annual dues (currently dues at $1,000/yr.) Abide by ARC’s ethical and confidentiality requirements
