The Life of an Audiologist By: Rachael Farrall Shelby Campion Christen Kratz Emily Jarvis

Job Description Professionals that work with those who have ear problems including hearing difficulties and balance problems.

Education Needed Audiologist need: Master of arts degree in audiology. Master of science in audiology. Masters of arts in speech pathology. Complete graduate programs in psychology, linguistics, phonetics, or sign language. State license (nursing, audiology..) Clear the praxis examination (minimum score: 600) Obtain a certificate in clinical fellowship from a certified and professional audiologist.

Salary in Maryland The average salary for audiologist is $83,000 in 2010.

Job Outlook In the future, audiologist will still be needed because people are always going deaf and losing hearing, especially as you get older, so we will always need audiologist to help.

FUN FACTS! 82% of audiologist are female and 18% are male. 65% of those with hearing loss are under 65 years of age. 9/10 users of hearing aids say their hearing aids improve their quality of life.
