I have taught English for 7 years in a senior middle school, where most of the students got high scores in the entrance examination and about one fourth of them come from the rural area.

After the 7 years’ teaching, now I have a better knowledge of what students are expected to learn in my class and how to help students learn efficiently. But there are still some puzzles troubling me.

(1) For unequal learning opportunities, some students from the rural area can’t understand what I am teaching especially when it comes to grammar, even though in Chinese. I wonder how I can shorten the gap between these students and others.

(2) How can I cultivate the interest of students in English learning for their lifelong learning? ( As we all know, many high school students now learn English just for the college entrance examination)

(3) Another problem in my teaching: how can I help to improve students’ ability in writing efficiently?(They may make many stupid minor mistakes.)

Studying in America is a dream of many students, so I would appreciate it if you share something about American education.

(1) What roles do teachers play in students’ study in America? And how about parents?(How do parents prepare their children for their future life?)

(2) Are their any students attend school just for the pressure of their parents? If so, how do you deal with it? (3) Would you please share some games you play in class with us?
