Instructions Prep for the FUN GALLERY Read a Biblical story that relates to the art samples you chose. Read the story and explain that the artist created a picture based off of his heart when he heard or read that particular Biblical passage. Explain that these art pieces have been collected and displayed in art galleries around the world. Let them know that they are going to do the same thing.

Continued Instructions 1.Choose a Biblical story for your kids and have them draw, color, or paint a picture from their hearts upon hearing the story. 2.Get them excited when you tell them they are going to display their pictures in the church and create a gallery of their own. 3.Under each picture, the author’s name and a description of the art should be displayed. 4.By doing this, many people will see and admire God’s character through the children’s artwork.

Examples Adam and Eve play in the Garden. By: Mary Ann Jesus Suffered. By: Jason Andrews

Last Words and Thoughts This Fun Gallery is great to use because it allows children to be active in their faith, showing a spiritual discipline such as worshipping through artistic endeavors. It is also a good way to wrap up a theme on God’s beauty, Gifts and talents, or types of worship. Another reason I think this Fun Gallery would work wonderful for a Sunday School class or even in a Christian educational setting is because it showcases the kids heart for God for everyone to see. An Fun Gallery Open House could even be put on if you want to go big and use it as a fundraiser or simply a church event.
