October Family Project: Fall Family Trees The arrival of Fall will bring some beautiful colors in nature! This month, your family will participate in decorating a bare tree with the colors of fall. Part 1: Decorate your tree. You may use any medium you wish to decorate your tree. Markers, crayons, paint (with paintbrushes, Q-tips, fingers), stamps, stickers, magazine clippings, construction paper, or whatever else you wish! We have been learning about how the leaves change in the fall, so your child should be able to tell you which colors to use to decorate your fall tree. Part 2: Draw a picture of what your family likes to do in the Fall. Talk about activities that occur in the fall with your child. Your child should be the one drawing the picture in the space under the tree. Part 3: Complete the sentence. Your child should be able to orally complete the sentence to explain what his or her drawing is about. A parent or guardian can do the writing to fill in the blanks. Please write your sentence on the bottom of your tree project. ____(students name) ’s family likes to________. Have fun with your child and work together! If you have any questions, please ask a K-1 Teacher. Projects are due by Monday, October 13 th. You may bring your project to class early if you wish so that we may display it for the entire month of October!
