Type of Government Essay Example: In light of the evidence that supports why direct democracy is the most practicable form of government for our country of Montclair, it is direct democracy which is the truest definition of by the people, of the people, for the people. In practice direct democracy takes all citizens views into account due to the fundamental characteristic that all citizens have equal power to decide every law, policy, and economic decision. Direct democracy is also the government of choice for Montclair because it best represents the limited number of citizens who call Montclair home. Even though there are different types of democracy, direct democracy best represents the origin of the word democracy. From its Latin origins, demos meaning people and kratia, meaning power and/or rule, best fit how Montclair is ran as a direct democracy.
