Important words to know Greater than – 10 is greater then >1 Less then – 2 is less then <12 Addend – 3+4=7, the 3 and 4 are addend. Sum – 3+4=7, the sum is the answer to an addition sentence. Difference – 7-4=3, the 3 is the answer to a subtraction problem.
