We have 52 Panther Paws and 4,190 Positive Dojos! Student Spotlight We have 52 Panther Paws and 4,190 Positive Dojos! Student Spotlight Reading: We started a new story and started learning our vocabulary words. Next week we will finish Leonardo’s Horse and take a test. Math: We have been adding and subtracting decimals, along with place value. Next week classes will continue working with decimals. Some classes may assess on this skill. Social Studies: We are learning about the 13 colonies and have made projects on them with our homework groups. Next week we will present our colonies to the class and assess on chapter 7. Language Arts: We started working with TAP and learned about conjunctions, prepositions, and conjunctions. Next week we will focus on how to capitalize titles and figurative language and take the district common assessment. Science: This week we learned more about the relationship between the sun, moon, and stars. Next week we will use Oreos to show the different phases of the moon. We are still in need of donations if you would like to donate to our class. Reading: We started a new story and started learning our vocabulary words. I can’t believe it. Please make sure your child is wearing pants and has a jacket to go outside. If they do not have these items we may have to keep them inside due to safety. Winter sports are staring up. I would love to come to the kids’ games if you bring me a schedule! This week students took their STAR math and reading screener for the district. Each student was given their score and charted it in their leadership notebook. Please ask your child about their scores.
