Flexi-Path Project A transnational partnership supporting Adult Education Professionals

European partners: Estonia Germany Italy Romania Spain Switzerland

Meetings The partners have met twice so far: - at the initial meeting in Bonn in January last month in Norwich

Flexi-Path Aims The aim of the project is to: -  develop a common European framework  recognise competence of adult educators  work at level 7 (Masters equivalent) of the EQF (European Qualification Framework)

The Case for Flexi Path Traditionally, for managers and other professionals supporting the work of adult learning, both formal and informal, there are no suitable qualifications. The Flexi-Path partners are working together to develop a set of standards that reflect higher level professionals’ work. This will include both skills and knowledge.

Progressing Flexi-Path Once the framework has been agreed: -  a validation instrument will be developed  this will be tested out in all the partner countries  The ECA will be working with Staffordshire University to identify the demand for such validation and to consider HE accreditation

Flexi-Path Futures The Validation Instrument will: - be published as a competence verification tool be promoted across Europe aid the mobility of Adult Education Professionals make the field of activity less ‘invisible’
