What is Agriculture Definition of agriculture has changed Define agriculture by the disciplines taught in their schools as well as human sciences, natural resources and forestry? Classification of Instructional Program Codes (CIP)

Where is Agriculture Taught? 1,800 post secondary institutions grant degrees in “agriculture” and related fields 50% of “ag” degrees awarded in were awarded at non-land grant institutions

Increase Participation 1862 missing institutions 1890 and 1994 need representative who can encourage participation What are the benefits of FAEIS What are the challenges with FAEIS

Identify Critical Elements What are the most important aspects of FAEIS?  For Users  For USDA  For Others (Associations & Public) How is the data being used? What can we do to make it easier to obtain the data being requested? (incentives)

How do we encourage participation? Contact non participating institutions to determine correct contacts and what we can do to assist in the data entry Have associations actively participate in encouraging participation in FAEIS

Setting a Goal What goals should we set? What do each of us do to aid in meeting that goal?
