Flipped Classroom How it’s done

Why flip a class? Students learn at different paces and have different learning styles. Students don ’ t need to worry about keeping pace with other students or feel the class is boring because it moves too slowly. Students generally work in groups at different levels. there is a focused teacher mini lecture area where the teacher - student ratio is 4:1.

Why do I watch the lectures at home? You can view the lecture, stop when necessary, rewind and view again. In the classroom, you work at their own pace.

Questions “ What if I have a question about the video? ” –You can ask a question via or in class the next day at the mini-lecture station.

Quizzes Why do I need at least a 70 on my quiz to move on? –A 7 out of 10 is a passing grade, 6 out of 10 is not a passing grade. –If you don ’ t understand a topic then you should not move on until they understand it.

What if I fall behind? If you feel you are falling behind, you can always come to the mini-lecture area or extra help time. You can also review lectures during class to refresh their recollections.

Reviews “Thanks for making the class like a video game - you can’t move to the next level until you meet the requirements. - “That’s more fun.”
