Objective Study fiber quality produced by saw-type lint cleaners subjected to various machine operation conditions, moisture levels and cotton varieties.
Test method Lint cleaner operation: – Saw speed: 877 and 1215 rpm – Feed rate: 447 and 745 kg/m/hr –Combing ratio: 25 and 50 Cotton variety: – STV4892 (hairy leaf) – DPL555 and DPL105 (smooth leaf) Moisture content: 4 and 6%
