BY ELI TOOMBS Eastern/ Western Oregon Cost of Living

Western: $350 Eastern: $0 My housing in Western Oregon would cost more because I would presumably be sharing rent in an apartment, or paying for a dorm living space, but in Eastern Oregon, I would be living at my father’s house. Housing

Western: $278 Eastern: $65 Since I will be living at my father’s house, I will not have to pay full utilities like I would in Western Oregon. Utilities

Western: $260 Eastern: $100 I would have to pay for most of my own food in Western Oregon, as opposed to sharing groceries with my father. Food

Western: $371 Eastern: $130 Gas would be shared between my dad and I, but in Western Oregon, I would either have to pay for transportation or fuel, maintenance, and payments for my own car. Transportation

Western: $50 Eastern: $25 I probably would not take all of my clothes with me to Western Oregon, meaning that I might have to purchase some more. Also, clothes could be more expensive in Western Oregon. Clothing

Western: $131 Eastern: $131 As an adult, I would have to pay for my own Health Care in Western and Eastern Oregon. Health Care

Western: $100 Eastern: $100 Since I make a lot of my own entertainment, I imagine the cost would be the same in both Western and Eastern Oregon. Entertainment

Western: $50 Eastern: $25 I have many things here in Eastern Oregon already that I would have to buy in Western Oregon, like first aid and personal care supplies. Personal Care

Western: $250 Eastern: $100 I would have to pay for my own computer, internet service, and cell phone if I were to live away from home in Western Oregon. Miscellaneous
