Engagement and Impact Somerset Challenge

Family B English Networking Group – visit to Brymore by HoDs and HTs – RBSC HoEng chairing this group – 4 meetings scheduled for 2014/15 – themes discussed and agreed with HoEng including KS3 moderation, planning for change, differentiation, literacy – 12% / 6% increase in 3/4LoP in 2013/14 Mathematics Networking Group – This has struggled to get established but has met in 2014/15 and has agreed areas of focus including new specifications, life after levels and marking/feedback. Work will mirror the structure of the English group

Family B Teaching and Learning Networking Group – has met once in the summer term Life after levels - the beginning of some joint work with two other schools on this area Other identified needs are being followed up by groups of schools within the family. Staff engagement is broadening – DHT, T&L lead, Head of English, Head of Maths, middle leadership via CGA link, information given regularly to staff via Headteacher Headlines

Keys to Success Partnership Clapton Girls Academy (NSS) – school visit in June by Dr Cheryl Day (NLE) – 10 days of support in 2014/15 – Support Plan Engagement in the LSS ‘Getting to Good’ programme – access to conferences – School support (via Cheryl) – Senior team to attend and report back and drive improvement School visit to CGA by DHT and reciprocal visits planned
