Hatchet – Chapter 18, 19 and Epilogue Suhail Ibrahim 10.02

What did Brian do when he saw the plane? He built a raft then tried to reach the plane to get inside it. He couldn’t get in because there was no way for him to go in. He tried many ways, he dove inside the water to check other ways to get in. At last, he also punched the aluminum plane metal and discovered that it can be bent. He brought his hatchet and tried to cut a hole for him to wiggle in to the plane.

How did he manage to get into the broken plane? After he used his hatchet to cut small pieces of metal to get into the plane he figured out that the hole is big enough for Brian to wiggle through it.

What shocked him when he first saw the pilot? He thought, the pilot was in the plane the whole time. He saw his head and was shocked because half the meat was gone from fish eating it, almost clearing the whole skull.

How did the survival bag in chapter 19 help him? It helped him a lot, he found food inside that bag and many other useful things. Things that would make him last weeks.

Towards the end (Epilogue) a new plane came and landed, how did it (plane) know that Brian was there.? The pilot stepped out the plane and saw Brian. He told Brian that he knew he was there because he heard his voice on the transmitter.

Summary of Epilogue The pilot who arrived so abruptly in the lake was a hide purchaser mapping Cree trapping camps for future purchasing runs drawn by Brian when he unwittingly turned on the crisis transmitter and left it going. At the point when the pilot saved Brian he had been distant from everyone else on the L formed Lake for fifty four days. Nourishment, all sustenance, even sustenance he didn't prefer, never lost its ponder for him. The two sorts of rabbits were snowshoes and cottontails; the foolbirds were ruffed grouse (additionally called nitwit hens by trappers, for their ineptitude); the little nourishment fish were bluegills, sunfish, and roost; the turtle eggs were laid by a snapping turtle, as he had thought; the wolves were timber wolves, which are not known to strike or trouble individuals; the moose was a moose. They were not bad dreams, none of them were alarming, however he would stir on occasion with them; simply stir and sit up and think about the lake, the woods, the blaze around evening time, the night feathered creatures singing, the fish hopping sit oblivious alone and consider them and it was not terrible and would never be awful for him.
