Goals: For Understanding: Teachers will understand 1. Two types of vocabulary to teach 2. Two, or more, techniques 3. Research basis for vocab instruction 4. The following vocabulary terms: Metastudy, effect size, Thayer Model, Word Wall, action research

Goals For Teacher Action: Teachers will… 1. Set group norms around PLC work 2. Define a “problem of practice” to research 3. Decide on initial action steps 4. Choose appropriate eval. Tools 5. List tasks to be completed for our next meeting 6. Set a next PLC meeting time for this research
