‘Community Lights’ Kinver Rotary Club Competition 2014 TASK: Take 3 photographs exploring the theme. 50 words explaining your intentions! Christmas Lights in your local town/ village Lights on buildings at night Birmingham Christmas market Bonfire night, guy Fawkes Community Fire work displays The theme is not just lights, how does the community fit in????? How can you make the community a better place? Or light it up? Memorials at night Halloween party

Photography Task: Now- In groups write down possible ideas to take photographs of. (you need 3 final photos) Homework- to begin taking photos of the theme

Writing Competition Tasks Some ideas Light up–smiling faces–mobile phone cameras-torches-sunshine- illuminations-solitary candle-floodlights-Halloween pumpkin-singing-music- laughter-a helping hand-generosity- lights from a church/ community building/care home- a prominent person in the community-, a community gathering-colour in a darkened area e.g bright flowers- an event making people smile/ laugh-fireworks-bonfire-cats eyes-Christmas trees-sports events-fetes-cheerleaders-marching bands.... Write a short story 1 side of A4. Please complete for homework and hand in ASAP! You will get rewards points for a good entry as well as the possibility to win prizes!
