What is God like?

What are two basic ways in which God’s nature is different from ours? Matthew 28:19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…” triune

Key Point #1 The two basic ways in which God’s nature is different from ours are that he is triune and a spirit.

“God is three and one at the same time – just as a triangle has three sides but at the same time is only one thing.” In what way is this a useful illustration of the Trinity? In what way is this not very helpful as an explanation of the triune God?

The New Age Movement teaches that all things are gods. Mormonism encourages the hope that someday people will become gods. In what ways do these ideas not square with what the Bible says?

Your brother or sister needs your help or your forgiveness. How might remembering that God is kind and forgiving lead you to help or forgive your sibling?
