BACKGROUND OF THE FARM The project name is Rouxville 309JU with 314 hectares in total. It has been obtained through Pro-active Land Acquisition Strategy (PLAS) and belongs to Mr Jabulani Judas Nyalunga. It is located in Umjindi Municipality along Caledonian road near Barberton The farm has five (05) full time workers and use to employ about forty (40) temporary workers during peak period. More workers are employed during planting, harvesting, and packaging of tobacco. There is a contractual agreement for sugarcane cutters.

MARKET SUMMARY  TSB is the measure market for sugarcane commodity  They sign market contracts with farmers before planting sugarcane  Mr Nyalunga has also a standing contract with Afgri for tobacco  Maize is sold to hawkers at the farm gate Packed tobacco leaves
