9 weeks The main objective of the course is to give students a general working knowledge and foundational studio skills through a variety of art experiences. Areas of concentration: 3 Dimensional Sculpture working in the round Elements of Design Color Theory Painting Techniques Aesthetics Art History Art Criticism You will Need: A PENCIL!!!!!!! Everyday...I do not share! A 3 tab folder with pockets with your name, grade, and period located on the front Note: NO CELL PHONES...this is your warning! Music is earned though good behavior! I will assign extra credit from time to time

Classroom Rules & Organization: Learn what is defined as “your” space.. Bell rings stop talking...I probably have something enlightening to say to start class. Don’t talk when I am talking...it is rude...enough said! Storage room and my desk are off limits! Use tools for the purpose in which the were intended...rulers are not swords. Take care off tools and equipment...we are lucky to have them. Sink area clean up is expected. NEVER touch other students work!!!!!! NEVER, EVER, EVER leave the classroom without permission. Fire & Tornado Drills MOST IMPORTANTLY: exercise common sense and respect!

Automatic Referrals Disrespect of teacher or students. Misuse of materials or supplies. Leaving without permission. Touching other students work.

Attendance Absence: Unexcused: The absence will be recorded as a class cut and a referral will go the office. Excused: This will be documented by the daily attendance report Note: It is your responsibility to come see me to find out what you missed during your absence...I will not come to you. Your attendance accounts for your ability to participate in class and to receive the necessary time to interact with yours truly. Excessive absences excused or not will have a negative impact on your grade. Projects not completed due to absences still must be turned in within the required amount of time for a grade.
