AUTOMATIC INTELLIGENT TOLL TAX SYSTEM

INTRODUCTION Electronic toll collection is a generally mature technology that allows for electronic payment of highway tolls. AITS takes advantage of vehicle to road side communication technologies to perform an electronic monetary transaction between a vehicle passing through a toll station and a toll agency.

OBJECTIVES Simple implementation of automatic toll collection process To maximize efficiency and effectiveness of toll collection while minimizing traffic impacts. To focus specifically in identifying and assessing available toll collection technologies

FEATURES Advance traffic management system. Increase in toll capacity. Automatic vehicle classification. Enhanced cash handling.

BLOCK DIAGRAM

SYSTEM WORKING MODEL IR Transmitters identifies and classifies the vehicles. After detection of vehicle, the system displays permitted tax for each vehicle After getting toll the second gate will open. After breaking the IR4 the gate will close.
