Thesis Project has great potential to make good information available to more scholars, both digitally and as artifact.

Project Funding $3.6M NSF funding for equipment and travel. $1.5M Indian government funding.

Human advance, including especially science and engineering, has depended on young people having access to books via libraries.”

Copyright is the biggest reality of the project. Denise Troll Covey will speak about copyright this afternoon.

A Collection of Collections Books will represent a variety of languages, including material originating in India. Partners will select and include collections of cultural importance. Copyright-cleared Books for College Libraries.

Joint Project / Three Levels Whole country - Government funding for labor. Major library partners - Send returnable books. Other library partners - Send non-returnable duplicates.

Conclusions Project has great potential for readers, authors, and publishers. Collection of collections may increase life and reach of scholarly works. The artifact continues to be important and is easily accessible from the Million Book Project.
