Urgency. Noise is one of the most widely and frequently experienced problems of the environmental pollution. Noise affects man both physically and socially. Legislators, entrepreneurs, scientists pay attention to the problem of noise reduction. The aim of research: analysis of possibilities to provide acoustical safety in the urban areas.

Major noise sources of cities road transport railways

aircraft Major noise sources of cities transformer substations

Noise affects man both physically and socially The most widespread problem created by noise is annoyance. Traffic noise is the main cause of sleep disturbance. Exposure to traffic noise can impair cognitive functioning: difficulty sustaining attention difficulty concentrating difficulty remembering Exposure to traffic noise is associated with changes in blood pressure and increased risk of various types of heart disease.

Conclusion: As we may conclude the application of practical recommendations considered in the given article will allow to achieve the permissible noise levels in urban areas and to provide the residents with comfortable living conditions.
