Microsoft Lync™ has two options for audio: Lync audio and phone audio. When entering a Microsoft Lync™ meeting, select the appropriate audio based on your work environment. Lync Meeting Audio Options Selecting the Appropriate Microsoft Lync™ Audio Option
The default selection is Use Lync (integrated audio and video). This option enables you to use a specialized USB Microsoft Lync™ headset or your laptop microphone. If your computer audio device is not working, choose one of the phone audio options to connect to the meeting. Using Microsoft Lync™ Audio
Option 1: Do not join audio Use this option if you want to dial into the meeting using a phone. The join by phone options are available in the Microsoft Outlook™ online meeting window. Using Phone Audio – Option 1
Option 2: Call me at (select number) Use this option to have the Microsoft Lync™ meeting call a designated number. All numbers associated with your Microsoft Lync account will display. Using Phone Audio – Option 2
Select the gear icon near the top of the main Microsoft Lync™ window to open your Lync Options. How to Change Your Audio Settings
To change your Microsoft Lync™ settings, go to Audio Device. You can select the device you use for audio calls and customize your speaker, microphone, and ringer volumes. An example is shown on the following slide. Lync Audio Device Settings
To change your Microsoft Lync™ Phone settings, go to Phones. You can add and change your Microsoft Lync™ phone numbers, and select your preferred option for joining conference calls. Note: Phone and Microsoft Lync™ integration is not supported at this time. An example is shown on the following slide. Phone Audio Device Settings
