Michael Jackson Michael Jackson was a Black pioneer singer who started from Motown as a young child in the 60’s and reached his peak in the 80’s. As a influential singer he made the first storyline music videos thriller that toped the charts, broadcasted on MTV.

Michael Jordan Drafted in 1984 one of the best players of all time rose in the NBA. Winning 6 championships, he was one of the most influential players of the 80’s. Michael Jordan won multiple mvp awards an broke many records that haven't been broken yet. To this day he makes millions off his shoes and sponsorships also with his success many people follow him like they did in the 80’s.

Eddie Murphy Eddie Murphy a famous comedian, artist, actor and film producer took over media in the 80’s. With his comedic debut in 1980 at Saturday night live, this led to multiple movies,shows and music like Harlem nights, Beverly hills cop series and his hit song party all the time.

Deion Sanders Deion Sanders a two star athlete took over the sports industry in the late 80’s. Especially in football creating new records and style people adored him. Fashion/Hobbies Nike- A popular brand that endorsed athletes to sell their product all over the world. Made in 1972 but was popular in 1980’s. Jordan's- Made from a popular basketball player in the 80’s. Michael Jordan in his prime with the Chicago Bulls took over the sports media and sold shoes that almost every athlete and casual person wanted. Calvin Klein- A very popular product that many people wanted to buy because their favorite celebrities wore it to endorse it, also using models and sexual appeal. Adidas- A very popular shoe and clothing product that was mostly endorsed by Run D.M.C a musical pioneer rap artist. Hobbies- In the 80’s hobbies were Walkman's, vintage toys, PC’s and gaming machines. These items were mostly used by the young environment.

Music MTV- A popular music station in the 80’s that is still broadcasted today. Put on air August 1,1981 this station made music very influential to everyone who watched it. MTV first stated showing just music videos in the 80’s then grew to a music and media superpower with putting TV shows on air.

Musicians/songs The 1980’s was a big time for famous singers such as Michael Jackson,Whitney Houston, Madonna etc.. Famous songs were produced like.. Thriller- Michael Jackson How will I know- Whitney Houston Livin on a prayer- Bon Jovi Papa don’t preach- Madonna Michael Jackson and Madonna were the king and queen of pop in the 80’s.

Famine in Ethiopia song On 1984 the song live aid was introduced to the world. As 45 of the best singers got together to make a song to produce money for the cause. As a result millions of dollars was funded to the people in Ethiopia to help for starvation.

Sports In the 1980’s sports like basketball, baseball and hockey took over. In the 80’s basketball was the first broadcasted sport on sports stations all over also following that baseball. Hockey on the other hand U.S.A took over the Olympics starting in 1980 winning it all. Also with a dominate team the New York rangers taking over the N.H.L. Also popular was Mike and Mike in the morning, and ESPN because they were the pioneers of sports media. In basketball USA won the 1984 Olympics two with dream team. Lastly the baseball strike in 1981 on drugs and alcohol used by the players that lost baseball a lot of fans.

Movies/TV/Books In the 1980’s entertainment was almost the best in studios and books. Some hit movies that are still shown today and people love are.. Beverly hills cop- This 80’s m0vie starred by Eddie Murphy as a cop on a adventure for crime. This very earned lots of its popularity because it was funny. Back to the future- This movie series earned its place as one of the best movies of all time and also starring Michael J Fox a very good actor during the 80’s decade. In the 80’s TV was still developing into a national superpower and making networks better. Also the TV shows listed below shows the first of those types of entertainment… NFL Monday Night- Now broadcasted all over the nation in the 80’s and with thee powerful athletes of that time made this network a popular entertainment system. Real People- A pioneer of reality TV made this very popular in the 80’s. This show full of drama about true interactions of people led to other reality TV shows like big bother and x-factor. Famous books in the 80’s and that are still popular topics today led to movies and television shows like.. Cujo- Is a 1981 psychological horror novel by Stephen King about a rabid dog that attacked people and killed them. A brief history by time- Made by the one of the smartest men in the 80’s(Stephen Hawkins) who ever lived wrote a book about the history of humans and also earned television shows about his theory's and research. The Bourne Identity- Written by a famous writer Robert Ludlum this book is about a person James Bourne who woke up from amnesia and found 4 million dollars in his bank account and questions himself on who he is and how he got it.
