MARS MARS Mars is the forth planet from the sun in our solar system. Mars is named after the Roman god of war also mars got names the red planet because of Mars's red appearance caused by iron oxide on Mars's surface. MMMM aaaa rrrr ssss s s s s uuuu rrrr ffff aaaa cccc eeee

Mars surface Mars has two hemispheres northern and southern and there was not much difference in the two and below descriptions. Southern: The southern hemisphere is has much more craters than the northern hemisphere and also the surface of the southern hemisphere has dust, iron oxide, dirt, mountains, volcano, water and ice. Northern: Like the southern hemisphere it has the same things volcanoes, ice, water ect. But the major difference is there are a lot less caters in the Northern hemisphere. Who found mars Who found mars

WHO FOUND MARS? No one knows who found mars but there some leads to who found mars. The Egyptians because in 1570 B.C they called mars as one of there Gods also named Hours of the Horizon which is a man with a hawks head. Also later in Galio 1609 they were first to view space through telescope. The Romans because they named mars there god of war,so that could be the reason to who found mars. Other ancient cultures and people could of found mars before any else discovered mars. In conclusion no one really knows who found mars so no one can be given the credit for it. mars size mars size

WHAT IS SIZE OF MARS? There are so many ways to measure mars and I have listed some below. The diameter of is 6,792 kilometers but when compared to mars is only 53% of earths diameter in total. The surface area of mars is 145 kilometers and compared to earth it is only 39% of earths surface area. The volume of mars is 1.63 times 1011 km3 and compared to earth that is only 15% of earths volume. The mass of mars is 6.4 times 1011 and that is 11% of earths mass. MOONS OF MARS In 1877 an American astronomer named Asaph Hall discovered the two moons of mars and has been named after the Greek god’s fierce dogs Phobos and Deimos. Scientists think that the moons got pulled out of an asteroid belt by Mars's gravitational pull. Phobos

PHOBOS Phobos is 9,380 km from mars, and it is closer to mars than Deimos. Phobos is so close that it has set the solar system record for the closest moon to a planet and in forty million years it will crash into mars. This highly irregular moon is almost 27 km in diameter. It completes on rotation of mars in earth days deimos

DEIMOS Deimos is the further most moon of mars. Deimos is 23,460 km from mars. Deimos is smaller than mars by 12 km and its diameter is 15 km. Deimos completes one planet rotation in 1.26 earth days. Deimos’s surface is covered with dust up to one meter and it is also covered with impact craters because Deimos nor Phobos do not have an atmosphere. Mars water Mars water

MARS WATER In 1965 NASA found water on mars based on NASA’s observation from space witch looked like seas but later NASA found out that it was only an illusion. In July they found large quantizes of water and ice which had micro life in it. bbbb iiii bbbb bbbb llll yyyy oooo gggg rrrr aaaa pppp hhhh yyyy
